| Deadline for submissions: 1 September 2012. With ’Thinking practice’, we address in particular artistic research but also approaches or studies in which the recurrent dichotomy in theory and practice is transgressed. It has been suggested that artistic practice should be defined as research in the arts only, and thus as an immanent and performative approach, which we however want to encourage to encompass other fields as well, for example, theoretical inquiries or ’simulations’ in which you, so to speak, play on the terms of the ’object’. Thus, thinking practice expands into encompassing other modes for investigation as well. Contributions of all sorts and lengths are welcomed; art works, investigations and applications as well as critical inquiries. The contributions will be published continuously under a separate heading. |
